1) Where are you from? Make up a slogan for your hometown. Why does this perfectly describe your hometown?

I’m from Lockport, Illinois, a southwest suburb about an hour away from Chicago. A slogan for my hometown would be “What’s a Porter?” Strangely, our large high school has a porter as the mascot. Not many people actually know what it signifies.

(In case you were wondering, it’s the person who controls the locks on the channels of the I&M canal which runs through the town.)

2) What’s your favorite digital marketing task so far? What’s something you’re excited to learn more about in digital marketing?

So far, my favorite task is meta data optimizations because it allows you to be more creative than other tasks. I’m excited to learn more about the SEO side of digital marketing since it applies to blogs too.

3) Pick one word that you think best sums up digital marketing? Why’d you choose this word?

Detail-oriented. No matter the task, it is essential to look at the small details because any change in an account could have a bigger impact behind it.

4) If you could provide digital marketing services for any company (PPC, SEO, and/or content!), who would it be? What’d be on your to-do list?

I would choose Macy’s because it would be interesting to work with all of their different product pages (and because I’m always looking for dresses and shoes). My first task that I would want to complete is adding a more prominent call-to-action button on their website.

5) Plan the perfect spring picnic. Who’s on the guest list? What are you packing in the picnic basket? Any fun activities planned?

I would want to be sitting in Grant Park enjoying some tiramisu and iced coffee, which are definitely my two favorite treats to have. I’d invite the two members of Twenty One Pilots since they are incredibly humorous. I would definitely have a private concert planned since I have been to all but one show that they have had in Chicago over the last 4 years.

1) Where are you from? Make up a slogan for your hometown. Why does this perfectly describe your hometown?

I’m from Ho Chi Minh City, one of the largest cities in Vietnam. I lived in Vietnam for close to 18 years before coming to the States for college. A slogan for Ho Chi Minh City would be “Come for the opportunities and stay for the food!”

We locals know that the city’s real charm lies in the street food. For less than $10 you can eat some of the most mouthwatering and savory treats on the planet. If you’re a fan of pho (it’s my favorite noodle soup), you will love the food offerings there.

2) What’s your favorite digital marketing task so far? What’s something you’re excited to learn more about in digital marketing?

I love working on client SEO reports. In a nutshell, I enjoy looking at the data and analyzing it to see trends or changes. It is also an excellent opportunity to refine my Excel skills.

I’m excited to continue learning SEO and how to combine that knowledge with my skills in web development.

3) Pick one word that you think best sums up digital marketing? Why’d you choose this word?

I’d choose “Innovation.” Digital marketing connects businesses with customers in a way that traditional marketing years ago couldn’t even imagine. I’m amazed by the power of Google and how it delivers content to the right users at the right time using focused data.

When I search something online, I’m blown away by the number of resources I have access to at my fingertips. Today, speed is crucial and relevancy is key. It’s really changed the landscape for marketing and advertising overall. As a millennial, I’m all about the changes!

4) If you could provide digital marketing services for any company (PPC, SEO, and/or content!), who would it be? What’d be on your to-do list?

I’d love to do SEO for my current school, North Central College in Naperville. I’d focus on the international admission division. Our college is going through an exciting period of change.

We just launched a brand-new website, built several new buildings, and we’re about to add a lot of majors. My goal would be to introduce the school to international students. I would give the admission’s site a revamp with an easy-to-navigate site structure, optimized content with high-volume keywords, and an expanded student blog. The blog would become an online student community where current international students share their experiences and advice with potential students.

5) Plan the perfect spring picnic. Who’s on the guest list? What are you packing in the picnic basket? Any fun activities planned?

Where are all my ladies at? For my perfect picnic, I’d invite Emma Watson (Actress and UN ambassador), Karlie Kloss (Model and philanthropist), Michelle Phan (Entrepreneur & YouTuber), and Sheryl Sandberg (COO of Facebook), among others. Some may not agree with this but I’ll also invite Ivanka Trump (Entrepreneur)!

These women embody the perfect combination of intelligence, beauty, and elegance. I sincerely aspire to be like them! The picnic will be purely a girls day out. As for one of the activities, we’ll have a fireside chat where everyone shares what they are working on. Seriously, I’d fangirl so hard if this picnic can happen!
