What's This All About?

The Content Marketing Strategist is responsible for leading the content marketing strategy and execution for both Perfect Search’s clients as well as the Perfect Search brand. This role involves managing content creation, social media strategy, search engine optimization (SEO)-informed copywriting, marketing copywriting, ad copy creation, brand awareness efforts, and more. The Content Marketing Strategist will also manage a team of freelance copywriters, making sure that all client and internal content is organized, assigned, edited, and finalized by strict deadlines.

To achieve success in this role, applicants must have exceptional attention to detail and strong project management, organizational, writing, and verbal communication skills. The Content Marketing Strategist will be expected to balance managing client content and internal marketing work and ultimately serve as a leader in strategy on the team.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a team of freelance copywriters. Assign out content tasks, keep track of progress, communicate brand voice and other details needed to create the content, edit the finished content, and send to the clients by the deadline.
  • Write and optimize a variety of content for clients as needed (website content, blog posts, ad copy, etc.)
  • Create content strategy plans for clients with keyword research, user experience, conversion rate optimization, marketing strategy, and SEO in mind; ensure content execution delivers business results for clients.
  • Manage internal social media accounts, as well as clients’ accounts as needed.
  • Communicate with clients on monthly reporting calls. Convey performance metrics and strategy to the client to help them make decisions about their content direction.
  • Pull reports from Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other platforms to analyze SEO and engagement metrics of published content and content optimizations.
  • Lead strategy and execution for Perfect Search’s internal content marketing strategy, including the company blog, social media accounts, gated content, and other brand awareness efforts.
  • Research and stay up to date on the latest industry trends.
  • Collaborate within the digital marketing and copywriting teams.

What You Need

  • 1 to 3 years experience in content marketing and SEO, with specific project management experience. Experiencing managing direct reports is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Data Studio, and other reporting tools.
  • Knowledge/experience with social media management platforms and strategy for the following social media sites: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Linkedin, etc.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
