1) Where are you from? Describe one of your favorite places to visit when you’re home.

I’m from Batavia, IL, a small town in the suburbs west of Chicago! We have some great bike paths that run along the Fox River, so I always like biking or taking my dog on a walk there. Aside from that, some good places around the area to get some grub are El Sazon (tacos & horchata), JuRin (sushi galore), Tusk (a mean pad woon sen), Egg Harbor (the best breakfast ever), Gia Mia (Italian date night), and Graham’s Chocolate (ignore the name, they have AMAZING ice cream).

2) If you could live in any historical era, which would you pick? What would you want your life to be like?

I would choose the 1970s-80s so that way I can see all of the awesome classic rock concerts that took place. Ideally, I would be touring across the world with a band as a pianist or guitarist, or even photographer. On the side, I would be designing posters, album covers, and creating merch for my favorite bands.

3) Pretend you can throw the biggest party imaginable. You have an unlimited budget. What’s the venue? Who’s invited? What’s on the menu? Any performances?

Biggest party imaginable? I would say let’s put it on some beach in California (clean-up crew would be hired so no waste is left behind) so that way no one has to worry about shoes and the space is unlimited. There would be bonfires, strung lights, and games for everyone to play. The menu would be a giant sushi buffet and cotton candy for dessert, all created by Gordon Ramsey (yelling at you while you get your food). An art fair would be going on as well for local artists to sell some things. Anyone and everyone would be invited by word of mouth. Along the shore, there would be small stages featuring popular artists like Tame Impala, Frank Ocean, and Fleetwood Mac. One man I would particularly like to have there is the Japanese artist who punches paint onto canvases. Barack Obama would also be in the neighborhood by chance and stop by to do some last-minute stand-up.

4) What’s your favorite internship task so far? What’s something you’re excited to learn more about in digital marketing?

So far, I’ve really enjoyed making mockups of landing pages. I’ve always found it an exciting challenge to take something unorganized and messy and then to simplify things down in an orderly way. The more time I spend in digital marketing, the more interested I am in A/B Testing and finding out if there are patterns for what design elements work and what doesn’t.

5) What’s one thing you want to do this summer that you haven’t gotten around to yet?

Camping! I love to camp and hike and I was really hoping to find some time to do so with friends or family. There’s nothing quite like waking up with the sun and sitting around a cozy fire, roasting weenies and marshmallows, and laughing with close ones. Some of my favorite places that I’ve traveled to for camping/hiking are Banff National Park in Canada, Yosemite, Yellowstone, and Arches.

1) Where are you from? Describe one of your favorite places to visit when you’re home.

I am from Leawood, Kansas. One of my favorite places to visit when I am home is my grandparents’ Greek restaurant called Tassos. It has been in my family for over two decades and is a fun place to visit and celebrate at.

2) If you could live in any historical era, which would you pick? What would you want your life to be like?

I would love to live in the roaring twenties. This era’s fashion styles are inspirational and I would love to live in New York City and wear extravagant dresses.

3) Pretend you can throw the biggest party imaginable. You have an unlimited budget. What’s the venue? Who’s invited? What’s on the menu? Any performances?

I would throw a party at Tao beach club in Miami with all my close friends and family. I would serve steak and crab legs as the main dish, along with a wide variety of dessert including a crepe station, chocolate fountain, and ice cream bar with a dozen toppings. I would have Drake, Beyoncé, and Rihanna perform. This would be a party to celebrate life and pure happiness.

4) What’s your favorite internship task so far? What’s something you’re excited to learn more about in digital marketing?

Creating prospect lists using Lusha and LinkedIn. Through this ongoing project I get the opportunity to research companies and learn about different industries.

5) What’s one thing you want to do this summer that you haven’t gotten around to yet?

I have yet to go to the beach and that is top of my list!
