Jasmine Ramos

1) Where are you from? Describe one of your favorite places to visit when you’re home.

I’m from Chicago, specifically from the Hermosa neighborhood. My favorite place to visit when I’m home is the 606 trail! It’s busy yet peaceful at the same time, and is a great place to go to take a walk – or attempt to longboard – and think.

2) If you could live in any historical era, which would you pick? What would you want your life to be like?

I would want to live in the ’20s, but only if I was rich. If you weren’t rich your life would’ve been rough, but I would want to be a flapper and live like Gatsby. The lively jazz and blues scene that was kicking off at this time, along with the idea of sneaking into a speakeasy, is all incredibly appealing to me.

3) Pretend you can throw the biggest party imaginable. You have an unlimited budget. What’s the venue? Who’s invited? What’s on the menu? Any performances?

My venue will be House of Vans because it’s a truly amazing place. I’ll only be inviting family (immediate and then all my cousins, because they’re rad), and a handful of friends from college, high school, and my co-workers (they’re also rad). There’ll be all the good Puerto Rican and Mexican food – arroz con gandules, pasteles, pernil, jibaritos, and alcapurrias, as well as flautas, tacos, burritos, tamales, and good Mexican rice – as well as ribs. I don’t know how I’ll manage it, but I’m going to have BTS, Monsta X, and NCT perform, as well as Avenged Sevenfold, A Day to Remember, and Shawn Mendes for my non-K-pop loving friends and family. If you don’t like K-pop, angsty music, or Shawn Mendes you might want to just decline my invite.

4) What’s your favorite internship task so far? What’s something you’re excited to learn more about in digital marketing?

My favorite task so far has been creating ad schedule reports. While this might sound kind of boring, it’s one of the most exciting things I’ve done because of the opportunity it presents for analysis. Aside from just pulling the reports to show the client which days ads are spending the most/least, you’re able to find patterns in spend and success and analyze the data to determine the best times to show ads for the least amount of money. It’s a great opportunity to use analytical skills and really dive into client data!

5) What’s one thing you want to do this summer that you haven’t gotten around to yet?

Getting a new library card! I used to go to the library all the time when I was younger, but when I went off to college I ended up losing my Chicago Library card. Before the summer is out, I want to get a new one and explore libraries in the city that I haven’t been to yet.

Sarah Kincius

1) Where are you from? Describe one of your favorite places to visit when you’re home (ie: a park, restaurant, etc).

I was born in Chicago, but I moved to Naperville when I was 3. One of my favorite places to go there is this Japanese restaurant run by a sweet, elderly Korean couple. I go there every chance I get because their ramen is insane.

2) If you could live in any historical era, which would you pick? What would you want your life to be like?

The 1800s and living my best Little House on the Prairie/Oregon Trial life. I would live in a log cabin and read books to my cows all day.

3) Pretend you can throw the biggest party imaginable. You have an unlimited budget. What’s the venue? Who’s invited? What’s on the menu? Any performances?

Can I host a bread party with Oprah where everyone sits around, eats bread, and talks about our feelings? Yeah. I only want to blow my unlimited budget on that: all of the carbs, all of the friends, and all of the Oprah.

4) What’s your favorite internship task so far? What’s something you’re excited to learn more about in digital marketing?

I’m pretty biased in saying this as a copywriting intern, but I love writing blogs! I feel really lucky that Perfect Search works with so many diverse clients; learning how to cater my copy to different brands and voices has been so much fun. I’ve also learned a lot about the most random topics, which is cool. I would love to keep learning more about SEO and every single one of its best practices. Whether doing A/B tests, schema markup, or other unique content optimizations, PSM does so much that it makes me want to explore and experience all the SEO team has to offer.

5) What’s one thing you want to do this summer that you haven’t gotten around to yet?

Go on a boat! If I could do that this summer, I truly will have peaked.
